Traditional Drumming Workshops
Drumming With Saehee:
I am a Korean American teaching artist from the United States living in Germany. I love to share my musical traditions and culture with kids! I learned to play traditional folk drumming in Seoul and taught children at daycare centers, Kindergartens, community centers and schools in Wisconsin, USA. I worked closely with Arts at Large to support low income neighborhood schools and teach music. I also received a Master Teacher Award from the Wisconsin Folk Arts Board and co-founded a Korean drum group called Garam Milwaukee. Since moving to Germany in 2019, I taught and continue to teach drumming and music classes for babies and kids at the Mütter und Familientreffen Erlangen, the FIS International school, the Willstaetter Gymnasium in Nürnberg, Vischers Kulturladen Nürnberg, Link n Learn in Frankfurt, Mutherstudio Nürnberg and local schools.
