Cooking
I am passionate about K-Food! I taught Korean Cooking Classes at the Milwaukee Public Market, Milwaukee Public Schools, libraries, community centers, and partnered with organizations such as Slow Food Wisconsin and Wisconsin Farmers Markets to educate Americans about Korean cuisine.
As a Korean foodie and home cook, I learned to cook Korean dishes by watching and tasting my mother’s homemade food. Some of my favorite items on the menu are Kimchi, Bibimbap, Soft Tofu Stew, and Spicy Rice Cakes!
Teaching Korean Cooking has been an important way for me to connect to diverse communities, meet new people and adjust to a new culture. Cooking with others is always interesting, meaningful, and educational.
I hope that by sharing my family’s cooking traditions, everyone will learn about the healthy and tasty aspects of Korean food.
In Germany, I continue to offer private and community classes as well as corporate cooking classes focusing on wellness and healthy cooking. My classes have been offered at Die Villa in Erlangen, VHS Fürth, Bildungszentrum Nürnberg, Refugee Support Cafe in Bamberg, Link n Learn Educational Center in Frankfurt, local schools, as well as at global companies, such as PUMA. I also offer online cooking classes for companies and private groups.
